Description

This is a Nordic Track Medalist (Achiever model upgrade) cross country skiing exercise machine that is in excellent used condition, with solid walnut (Pro and Achiever machines use oak for frame and fir for skis) and steel construction and made in the USA. Ski slope incline adjustment is 0-9 degrees graduated in 1.5 degree increments. The Achiever Lower and Upper Body resistance is easily increased or decreased independently at a granular level as you exercise by simply turning the knob on the vertical post or the arm resistance pulley. Both resistance adjustments are calibrated and gauged in pounds or kilograms. After owning, using and analyzing all Nordic Track machines ever built, i believe the Achiever is the most well featured and simplest design Nordic Track skier. You will enjoy the Medalist's features and function. These Medalist machines are getting extremely difficult to find.
A computer monitor with heart rate and flywheel rate sensing cables that measures workout time, speed, calories burned, distance traveled and heart pulse rate chest strap is included as well.
Skiers I sell are all pre 1997 models before they and are manufactured/assembled in the US. All post 1997 machines are manufactured in China from inferior materials. Every machine is completely disassembled, all parts components are inspected, cleaned and replaced or repaired as required to create a great looking machine that functions and looks like new. After the machine is reassembled and properly lubricated, it is tested & tuned. Steps include but are not limited to the following:
• Idler Rollers Cleaned, Checked and Lubricated
• Clutch Drive Rollers Cleaned, Checked and Lubricated
• Wood Trim Cleaned & Treated with Wood Oil
• Chrome Cleaned, Polished and Buffed
• Skies and all other wood cleaned and treated
• Arm Resistance Spool/Pulleys Clean, Checked and Lubricated
• Electronics are Cleaned, Tested and Guaranteed to be fully functional.
• New Flywheel Tension Band Installed
Skier and Monitor Owner's Care and Usage Guide Documents are included with the machine. Documents may be sent hardcopy or electronic PDF files.
The machine folds down nicely into a 50” L x 24” W x 16” H package for convenient storage when not in use and the skis are 55” long. The machine requires about 23” x 72” of floor space to operate.

The skis have some small marks on them. All other wood on the skier is in excellent condition and all the chrome is in excellent condition (absolutely no rust) as well.
Warranty is restricted to the machine's mechanical function components and to the original purchaser. This being said, customer satisfaction is of the utmost importance and I will do what I can to ensure the machine meets your expectation. Service support required outside my geographical region will be done via phone, Skype or email.
The Nordic Track Ski Machine does not impact joints like a Treadmill; extended Treadmill usage will most likely cause foot and leg joint problems from impact. These machines also provide a smoother and fuller range of motion than an Elliptical. Plus it takes a significantly smaller space to operate than either of these machines. Cross-Country Skiing is still one of the top five low-impact total body workout aerobic exercises and these machines are arguably the best home exercise machines available from the following perspectives,
