mystery antique vintage 1920s opium nightmare tattoo flash giclee print 11x14
lots of mystery with the original sheet of flash this print was made from.  the rumor is that dominic "dom chance" cianci (connected to philadelphia eddie and many others) stole the original sheets, which were signed along the edges sometime in the 1950s.  he then painted the black drapes aroumd the edges to cover the signatures.  these sheets made it to his son john who then sold them and related that story.  the black bordered sheets from this collection were most likely originally painted in the 1920s or as late as the 1930s.  it appears to be a mix of artists with lots of guesses as to which artists.  darpel, berg, king, rogers and so on...

the print was professionally printed and produced on 100 weight, archival, matte paper using only fade-resistant, archival, pigment-based inks. this sheet is the closest to the original sheet as could be possibly made.
the first image for the listing is screen shot of the electronic file.  the next photo with the red pen is an actual photo taken of the print itself so the clarity of the print can be seen.  the color of the print is closer to the screen shots.  this one looks insanely good.
