This object may look like a miniature dagger, which might have been the intention, but it is actually a letter opener. The "blade" has been hewn out of exceptional Muonionalusta meteorite, which has been cut and polished to highlight the intricate Widmanstätten pattern. This otherworldly pattern is created by crisscrossing bands of Kamacite and Taenite - minerals only found in meteorites. The tapered blade is sharpened on both edges and the point to facilitate its function and is also Rhodium-plated to ensure longevity. The opener features a filigree cross-guard and a simple grip finished with a black spherical pommel. This opener is accompanied by a custom wooden holder allowing for ease of display and access. The holder showcases the piece in a "sword in the stone" type manner and includes a plaque attesting to its authenticity. Both functional and stunning, this desk accessory will not disappoint. Care when handling is highly recommended as both the point and the edges are sharp.
